BIOBAN™ QK-20 is typically used in the clean-up and disinfection of process equipment, tools, and production tanks. The product is also used for the disinfection and decontamination of water-based materials, whether in raw or finished form.
BIOBAN™ QK-20 is a quick effect disinfectant from LANXESS, that is ideal for reducing microbiological contamination of raw materials or finished products such as aqueous paints and coatings, polymers, inks, slurries, adhesives, latex and resin emulsions, sizing agents, caulk and sealants. It is also used in specialty industrial products to boost the in-can protetcion of cleaning products, polishes, waxes, and detergents.

BIOBAN™ QK-20 is based on 20% DBNPA (2,2-dibromo-3-nitrilopropionamide), which features its quick and broad efficacy and short half-life. The short half-life is essential in clean-up and decontamination applications to ensure complete degradation of the active ingredient after disinfection, without raising disposal concerns.
BIOBAN™ QK-20 is also a non-oxidizing biocide that eliminates any corrosion potential or unwanted reactions with process chemicals, such as the polymer degradation typically observed when contacting chlorine (bleach) or other oxidizing biocides.
