What Is Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose (HPMC)?

Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, often shortened to HPMC and also known as hypromellose, is a nonionic cellulose ether used to control viscosity, water retention, film formation, suspension stability, and processing behavior in water-based and solvent-containing formulations.

What Is Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose?
