ROTTERDAM, The Netherlands – January 30, 2013 – Univar Inc., a leading global distributor of chemistry and related services, announced today the opening of its latest Personal Care and Household & Industrial Cleaning laboratory in Dubai. The laboratory, like the others Univar operates in Belgium, Canada, China, Mexico, and the United States, extends the company’s ability to provide expertise, formulation advice and access to an extensive range of ingredients for the Personal Care and Household & Industrial Cleaning industries.

The facility will see Univar’s specialist dedicated technical team create finished products and new concepts for customer evaluation. These services will help demonstrate to customers the functional qualities and tangible benefits that suppliers’ chemical ingredients can have on end products and will cover a broad spectrum of personal care and household & industrial cleaning products from fabric softeners and dish washing liquid to shampoos and body lotions.
The laboratory gives customers access to a large database of new formulations from an extensive range of personal care and household & industrial cleaning products, strengthens Univar’s global network of technical experts, and offers further technical services to its suppliers who may require laboratory capabilities in the Middle East.
Univar’s personal care specialists will be on hand at in-cosmetics (stand J51) in Paris from 16-18 April 2013, showcasing the company’s comprehensive range of personal care ingredients and demonstrating how these can be used to create exciting new formulations.
