FedEx is considered an essential business continuing to deliver products during the COVID-19 crisis. Effective April 6th due to diminished air freight capacity FedEx has implemented a temporary surcharge on all international parcel and freight shipments. The surcharge is based on the weight of the shipment with a minimum of $1 per parcel and $50 per freight shipment. For ChemPoint, there are limited updates for the week:
– North American Transportation Network: No change from last week.
– North American Warehouses: No change from last week; all warehouses are functioning as planned.
– Supply Chain and Operations Team: SCO continues to work closely with our sales team members to stock effectively and appropriately for evolving trends.
– International Shipping: Fedex surcharge for air freight now in place.
