Diisopropanolamine (DIPA) - LFG 85
DOW Diisopropanolamine (DIPA) LFG 85 is a low freezing DIPA that can be used as an emulsifier, stabilizer, chemical intermediate, or basicity neutralizer in a wide range of applications.
Diisopropanolamine (DIPA) LFG 85 is a chemical ingredient or additive from Dow Chemical that provides multiple functionalities and chemical properties. This diisopropanolamine grade is a low freeze grade variation of DIPA for easier handling in colder ambient temperatures. It is a blend of 85% DIPA and 15% deionized water with a freezing point of 23° 13°C/55.4°F.
Diisopropanolamine or DIPA is used in many applications serving as emulsifiers, stabilizers, chemical intermediates, and neutralizers that achieve basicity, buffering, and alkalinity objectives. Diisopropanolamine (DIPA) is also a good solubilizer for oils and fats. It is also frequently used to neutralize fatty acids and sulfonic acid-based surfactants.
DOW Diisopropanolamine is available in the following forms depending on the application and formulation needs:
DIPA Commercial Grade: A commercial-grade diisopropylamine that is used as a secondary amine additive or ingredient
DIPA LFG 90: This diisopropanolamine is a low freeze grade variation of DIPA for easier handling in colder ambient temperatures. It is a blend of 90% DIPA and 10% deionized water with a freezing point of 23°C/73.4°F.
