DOWANOL™ DPnP
DOWANOL™ DPnP is a slow evaporating glycol ether solvent from Dow Chemicals. It is based on dipropylene glycol n-propyl ether and provides an excellent balance of hydrophilic and hydrophobic properties.
DOWANOL™ DPnP is a dipropylene glycol n-propyl ether-based solvent from Dow that offers a slower evaporation rate and slightly higher hydrophobicity than DOWANOL™ PnP. It has a near mid-range balance of hydrophobic and hydrophilic properties with significant water solubility compared to other glycol ethers.
DOWANOL™ DPnP is an excellent performance glycol ether solvent when used in coatings as it offers outstanding coalescing properties in blends with more hydrophobic glycol there such as DOWANOL™ PnB. DOWANOL™ DPnP glycol ether can also be blended with other materials to displace or replace Butyl CELLOSOLVE™ glycol ether (formerly known as DOWANOL EB glycol ether).
DOWANOL™ DPnP is also used to reduce surface tension and improve the solvency of coatings and cleaning formulations. Its low toxicity, low odor, and good chemical stability make it suitable for a wide array of applications.
