DOWANOL™ TPnB is a tripropylene glycol n-butyl ether-based solvent from Dow that offers very slow evaporation, hydrophobicity, and surface tension-lowering ability to a variety of formulations. It is the slowest-evaporating glycol ether from the DOWANOL™ family and is ideal for use when high polymer solvency and residence time are required.
Due to its length and hydrophobic chemical structure, DOWANOL™ TPnB glycol ether offers a high organic solubility, low water solubility, and a high boiling point. This combination of properties makes TPnB glycol ether an excellent choice for use in a wide range of chemical applications including cleaners, strippers, paints, coatings, and ink formulations.
