Ferrous Chloride is a premium-quality mineral acid solution obtained from the dissolution of iron oxide and iron in hydrochloric acid to produce a high-strength Iron II Chloride (FeCl₂) liquid (CAS No. 7758-94-3). This process results in a clear, greenish fluid with exceptional strength and stability, making it suitable for industrial and laboratory applications. This Ferrous Chloride contains 30% to 34% FeCl₂ and serves as an excellent source of Fe2+ ions, which are essential for numerous chemical processes, including oxidation-reduction reactions and metal treatment operations. Hill Brothers' Ferrous Chloride is traditionally recommended for use in water treatment, metal surface cleaning, and as a reducing agent in various industries. It also provides corrosion and odor control in applications where hydrogen sulfide gas is present.
