Glyclean^® D is a family of glycolic acid-based disinfection products from PureTech Scientific that are developed for use in a variety of household and industrial cleaning and chemical disinfection applications. They are registered with the EPA and are available in the form of sub-registration formulations from PureTech Scientific. PureTech Scientific Glyclean^® D regulatory support around the world.

Glyclean^® D70 is a dual activity glycolic acid-based ingredient that provides anti-microbial and disinfection activities in addition to its superior cleaning performance in hard surface cleaning formulations. Glyclean^® D70 is a manufacturing-use-only product that needs to be utilized in EPA-approved formulation through sub-registration from PureTech Scientific.

Glyclean^® D70 utilizes its dual functional groups (Acid and Alcohol) to provide a multi-mode of action for microbial cell disruption. Its small molecule size enables fast penetrations and minimizes the development of microbial resistance.

Bacterial: Glyclean^® D70 kills a broad range of both Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria. Glyclean^® D70 has demonstrated efficacy against E.coli (including O157:H7), Listeria welshimeri, Pseudomonas, Salmonella, and Staphylococcus to name a few. Glyclean^® D70 is an effective viricidal agent as well. Various studies have demonstrated that Glyclean^® D70 is effective at killing both large and small viruses and both enveloped and non-enveloped viruses. Testing has shown efficacy against SARS-CoV-2 (the virus which causes Covid-19), Influenza type A, Rhinovirus type 37, Herpes Type 1, and more.

Glyclean^® Hard Surface Cleaner has demonstrated excellent efficacy against viruses similar to the SARS-CoV-2 virus on hard, non-porous surfaces. Therefore, Glyclean^® Hard Surface Cleaner can be used against SARS-CoV-2 when used under the directions for use against Rhinovirus Type 37 on non-porous and hard surfaces.
