Lattice^® NTC-80

Lattice^® NTC-80 is a microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) powder that is processed to include carboxymethylcellulose to improve dispersion in water. The inclusion of carboxymethylcellulose causes Lattice^® NTC-80 to be considered a colloidal-type MCC, which has better water dispersibility than standard MCC. 

Once activated and dispersed, Lattice^® NTC-80 forms a 3D gel network that surrounds and helps suspend other water-insoluble particles in the dispersion. Lattice^® NTC-80 is stable over a wide range of temperatures and pH and is best suited for active ingredients that are difficult to suspend. In agrochemical suspension concentrates, Lattice^® NTC-80 increases shelf life and provides stability by stabilizing active ingredients and preventing crystal formation. When used in inks, Lattice^® NTC-80 functions as a stabilizing agent to improve homogeneity. In emulsion-based inks, Lattice^® NTC-80 will also help to prevent syneresis and increase stability. 

Compared to Lattice^® NTC-61, Lattice^® NTC-80 requires a higher amount of shear to be activated and should, therefore, be used in applications that can withstand such high shear. For more information on how to disperse and activate Lattice^® NTC-80, check out this content.

Lattice^® NTC-80 microcrystalline cellulose is only approved for industrial, nonfood, and nonpharmaceutical applications.
