Sasol Cresylic Acid Blends

Sasol Cresylic Acid blends are versatile mixtures of phenol, cresols, xylenols, and other alkylated phenols processed and purified through pure isomer and fraction separation to create chemistries free of impurities.

Sasol is an industry leader and global supplier of cresylic liquid blends and cresol phenolic compounds including m-cresol, o-cresol, p-cresol, and xylenols that are used as feedstocks, and additives in the manufacturing of polymers, pigments, dyes, intermediate chemicals, and phenolic resins. Cresylic is the main ingredient in the manufacturing of BHT and other phenolic antioxidants.

They are also used in high-performance plastic, sensitive electronic, and photographic materials. Cresyl compounds are also used in wire enamels, resins, antioxidants, flavor and fragrance chemicals, herbicides, surfactants, oilfield chemicals, antiseptic industrial cleaners, and disinfectants.
