ADCOTE™ 1740 is a solution of a polyester resin in MEK that exhibits a high degree of tack and is useful as a primer and adhesive resin for flexible packaging.
ADCOTE™ 1740 is a polyester adhesive resin solution in MEK with high tack. It provides good adhesion to most surfaces and can be used as a primer for many different materials, including plastics, metals, and other difficult-to-bond substrates. ADCOTE™ 1740 is often used as a solvent-based adhesive to create flexible packaging for food applications and laminates for industrial applications. ADCOTE™ 1740 can be cross-linked with an isocyanate, such as Coreactant F, to improve green strength and the temperature and chemical resistance of the adhesive system. Additionally, ADCOTE™ 1740 provides utility as a binding resin for printing inks used in the packaging industry, where it provides high pigment and filler acceptance and excellent adhesion to plastics used in flexible packaging.
