ADCOTE™ 555 is one component of a two-part polyester urethane laminating adhesive system using ADCOTE™ 536B for creating food packaging structures.
ADCOTE™ 555 is an isocyanate-terminated polyester urethane component of a two-component laminating adhesive system. It is designed to be used with ADCOTE™ 536B. ADCOTE™ 555 provides a higher level of solids than other components used with ADCOTE™ 536B, such as ADCOTE™ 536A. ADCOTE™ 555 creates strong bonds in laminates using aluminum foil and a variety of polyester, polyolefin, and coextruded films typically used in food, medical, and industrial packaging applications. This system is ideal for working with temperature-sensitive substrates, given its relatively low nip temperature, and it performs well with slip-modified substrates. Laminates made with the ADCOTE™ 555 and ADCOTE™ 536A adhesive system have excellent heat and chemical resistance.
