BONDERITE^® S-FN 310A ACHESON (previously known as EMRALON 310) is a phenolic, PTFE, resin-bonded lubricating coating that is part of a two-package system with BONDERITE^® S-OT 310B ACHESON. When blended together, the resulting mixture is easily spray applied to a wide range of materials, including wood, metal, rubber, and plastic. The cured coating has a low coefficient of friction, exceptional surface adhesion, high corrosion resistance, and superior release properties to protect and lubricate components in applications where traditional PTFE coatings cannot work. Coatings of BONDERITE^® S-FN 310A ACHESON demonstrate a longer wear life than pure PTFE coatings and can be applied with a more uniform film thickness.

To properly mix the products, BONDERITE^® S-FN 310A ACHESON should be slowly added to BONDERITE^® S-OT 310B ACHESON with slow, continuous agitation to create a proper vortex, utilizing a propeller-type mixer or equivalent system. The final product will appear as a smooth dispersion. An atomizing spray gun is recommended to apply the dry film coating to a coating thickness of 10 to 25 micrometers on metal surfaces and 5 to 10 micrometers on rubber. Electrostatic spray equipment with low internal resistance is also appropriate. For the best curing results, the coating can be cured on one of the three following curing cycles:

60 minutes at 300°F (substrate temperature)
10 minutes at 350°F (substrate temperature)
8 minutes at 400°F (substrate temperature)
4 minutes at 500°F (substrate temperature)
