EPOLENE® C-24 is a branched, low-density polyethylene wax typically used as a resin for extrusion coating of automotive carpet backings. Compared to other EPOLENE® C-type polymers, it has a relatively high melting point and viscosity.
EPOLENE® C-24 is a medium molecular weight, low-density polyethylene wax used as a resin for extrusion coating of backing scrim for automotive carpets. These resins create strong bonds between carpet fiber bundles and the scrim, increasing the quality and durability of the automotive carpet. EPOLENE® C-24 waxes have predictable extensional viscosity and melt strength, which makes vacuum forming operations of automotive carpet inserts easier. Automotive carpet backings made with EPOLENE® C-24 maintain flexibility and toughness in a broad temperature range.
