EPOLENE® E-43 is a maleic anhydride grafted polypropylene wax. It is typically used in emulsion-based formulations and hot-melt adhesives and as a coupling agent for composites.
EPOLENE® E-43 is a medium–molecular weight, maleic anhydride–modified polypropylene polymer used as a wax modifier in hot-melt adhesives and floor care emulsions. It is also used as a compatibilizer for polypropylene (PP) composites. Here, the maleic anhydride functionality and polarity of EPOLENE® E-43 allow for increased compatibility of PP composites with nylon and EVOH, making it useful for producing custom polypropylene compounds. When EPOLENE® E-43 is used in hot-melt adhesive formulations, it improves adhesion to metals and plastics. In floor finish formulations, it will increase slip resistance, toughness, and durability.
