Blend of fine and crystal phase II Ammonium Polyphosphate.
PhosGard APP-311 is an intumescent blend of Phosphorus and Nitrogen with phosphorus content of 18-21% and Nitrogen content of 21-23%. The nitrogen present in PhosGard APP-311 aids in char formation and hence acts as an intumescent flame retardant. PhosGard APP-311 is especially effective as a non-halogenated flame retardant in thin films and polyolefins.
