EPOLENE^® C-13 is a branched, low-density polyethylene wax developed to blend with other low molecular weight waxes to increase the viscosity and control the penetration of the wax blend onto paper surfaces. Wax blends containing EPOLENE^® C-13 also offer higher gloss and improved grease resistance, blocking resistance, and abrasion resistance.

EPOLENE^® C-13 is also commonly used as a base resin in hot-melt adhesive and coating formulations for packaging, providing excellent adhesion to paper and other common packaging films. Coatings made with EPOLENE^® C-13 have strong moisture barrier properties. When used as an additive in solvent-based or water-based ink applications, EPOLENE^® C-13 increases rub resistance, creates higher slip on the printed surface, and reduces offset. In color concentrate and masterbatch applications, EPOLENE^® C-13 is used as a base polymer that allows for easier processing and excellent pigment dispersion.
