Novec™ Regulatory Status
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has listed Novec™ 7100 and 7200 Engineered Fluids and components of their azeotropes as "acceptable without restrictions" for precision cleaning applications under the Significant New Alternative Policy (SNAP) Program. Novec™ 7100 and Novec™ 7200 have also been excluded from the EPA definition of VOC as they have negligible contribution to tropospheric ozone formation.
