3M Novec™ 7100 Engineered Fluid is a clear, colorless, low odor, low toxicity, non-flammable fluid intended to replace ozone-depleting substances (ODSs) and compounds with high global warming potential (GWP). Novec™ 7100 is used in a wide variety of applications including a lubricant carrier, drying agent, contact cleaner, and heat transfer fluid. Novec™ 7100 has an extremely advantageous boiling temperature and is based on a methoxy-nonafluorobutane. (b.p. 61C)
