Zinador™, a Fresh Approach to Odor Neutralization

Zinador™ products are zinc-based odor neutralizers from Croda that have proven efficacy against an extensive range of industrial and household malodors including body, pet, kitchen, and bathroom odors.
Zinador™ products are bio based and readily soluble in aqueous formulations without requiring any chelators or emulsifiers to formulate. The polymeric zinc complexes are developed and produced using Itaconix polymer technology for maximum performance in various applications and formulations. Zinador™ odor-control actives offer excellent temperature and pH stability and can be used with or without fragrances.

Zinador™ is available in two different forms, depending on your formulation needs:

Zinador™ 22L

Zinador™ 22L is a 100% bio-based odor neutralizer manufactured using Itaconix technology, making it an excellent choice for bio and organic formulations. It provides good stability, cost efficiency, and ease of use in a variety of formulations, including fabric and upholstery refreshers, air fresheners, bathroom cleaners, surface cleaners, and laundry care products.;

Zinador™ 35L

Zinador™ 35L is an 85% bio-based odor-neutralizing active with a 75% higher zinc level than Zinador™ 22L. It is an excellent choice for formulations with high salt content or a high level of surfactants. Zinador™ 35L is easy to use and is suitable for liquid laundry detergents, carpet cleaners and shampoos, fabric fresheners, air fresheners, and bathroom cleaners.;

Zinador™ 22L

Fabric/Air Spray Refresher with Odor Neutralizer

This deodorizing spray formulation is designed to eliminate tough odors from the air and can also be used as a fabric refresher to eliminate absorbed odors. This formulation is suitable as a general spray to target and eliminate unpleasant odors.

Method
Combine all ingredients in the order listed and mix until homogeneous.

Laundry Liquid Detergent with Zinador™ 22L

This laundry liquid formulation sample can be personalized by adding fragrance and dye. The combination of detergents, along with Zinador™ 22L odor neutralizer, will help reduce unpleasant odors and any residual body odors in clothing, leaving it clean and fresh.

Method 
Combine all ingredients in order listed and mix until homogeneous

Zinador™ 35L

ECO Brij™ L7L Liquid Laundry Detergent FCS069 with Odor Neutralizer

This liquid laundry sample formulation can be used to build a fully formulated product and can be customized by adding a fragrance and dye. The combination of detergents, along with Zinador™ 35L, will help reduce any residual body odors or other unpleasant odors, leaving laundry clean and fresh.

Method 
Heat the water with stirring to 60°C, then add ECO Brij™ L7, propylene glycol, SLES, LABS, and NatraSense™ AG-810, and stir until homogeneous. Cool the mixture to room temperature, add Zinador™ 35L, and stir. Adjust the pH to 8 with triethanolamine. Then add the remaining water and Crothix Liquid, and stir until homogeneous.

Wrinkle Release Formulation with Odor Neutralizer

Refresh clothes between washes using this formulation with wrinkle-release and odor-neutralizing technology. Coltide™ HSi provides a moisturizing and conditioning effect to fibers, effectively releasing wrinkles from clothes. Zinador™ 35L is an 85% bio-based fast-acting odor neutralizer to remove odors between wears. Iberchem offers a fresh and rejuvenating fragrance. ECO NatraSense™ 265 provides 100% bio-based formulation solubilization.
 
To release wrinkles, spray the product evenly across the garment on a flat surface, smooth it by hand, and allow it to dry.

Method 
Blend ingredients in order listed. Ensure each ingredient is dispersed completely before adding the next. Adjust the pH to 5.0–6.0 using citric acid. The resulting formulation is a clear, low-viscosity liquid.
