Addisperse BIO-500
Addisperse BIO-500 is a specially formulated impact modifier from AFI Global, recommended to enhance the performance of biopolymer resins and components, such as PBS, PHA, and PLA. Containing 100% biopolymer base, this material is completely biodegradable and contains no petroleum-based additives. Addisperse BIO-500 has a melting point of 150°C and a melt index of 40 g/10 mins at a temperature of 190°C.
Addisperse BIO-500 is a high-performance impact modifier containing a 100% bio-polymer base with no petroleum-based additives. As it is completely biodegradable, it maintains a bio-based carbon content in finished products and enhances the composting performance of resins. In an easy-to-use pellet form, this additive can be incorporated into biopolymer resins and components, such as PHA, PLA, and PBS, during compounding or added to the extrusion process by an additive feeder during the manufacturing process. Upon addition, it provides exceptional impact and tear resistance, film flexibility, and slitting properties while preserving the clarity of the system.
Addisperse BIO-500 should be dried for a minimum of 4 hours at 200°F before use.
