Elvacite® Specialty Acrylic Resins
Elvacite® specialty acrylic resins are polymers or copolymers of methyl methacrylate or other acrylic monomers. More than 40 product offerings provide compatibility with a variety of film formers and plasticizers to achieve the exact properties desired. In coatings, inks and adhesives, they provide outstanding resistance to ultraviolet degradation, weather and abrasion. They offer high gloss, hardness, water-white color and transparency, and provide excellent resistance to water, alcohol, dilute acids and alkalies, chemical fumes and corrosive and oxidizing environments. A few of the common applications include concrete sealants, top-coating in vinyl fabrics and wood finish products, and printing inks. Additionally, FDA compliance allows for numerous applications in the food industry.
