Overview
4-Tertiary Butylcatechol in solid crystalline pellet form.
Product commonly used as a polymerization inhibitor for polymerizable monomers, such as styrene and butadiene.
TBC is commonly added in the manufacturing process for products which require transportation and storage
TBC also be used as an antioxidant for chemical compounds, including polyethylene, polypropylene, polychloroprene, synthetic rubber, and nylon.
TBC, in combination with epoxy compounds or alcohol, exhibits excellent properties as a stabilizer for chlorinated hydrocarbons, such as trichloroethylene and perchloroethylene.
