Overview
Hydraffin® CC 12x40 is a specialty activated carbon adsorbent engineered by Donau Carbon for demanding water treatment tasks. It is available as a high-purity, solid, black granulate with a granulation size of 12 × 40 mesh and an apparent density of 500 kg/m³. Hydraffin® CC 12x40 provides the ideal balance between absorption and purification due to its high porosity and large internal surface area, capable of effectively absorbing COD, AOX, pollutants, organic substances, free chlorine, and other trace substances in water. It also has high hardness and abrasion resistance for improved durability and performance, in addition to extended service life in applications such as potable water treatment, process water purification, groundwater rehabilitation, and wastewater treatment. In distilling operations, Hydraffin® CC 12x40 helps purify and refine spirits, effectively trapping impurities and enhancing the flavor, appearance, and quality of the final alcohol. It is also an important chemical for decolorization, used to purify and remove unwanted pigments and flavors in various products, including sugar, wine, beverages, and chemicals.
