Desorex® PI 50 K is a high-quality extruded catalytic activated carbon from Donau Carbon engineered for industrial odor control in air and gas treatment applications. Desorex® PI 50 K has a 4 mm diameter particle size and 60% CTC adsorption by weight.
Desorex® PI 50 K is a steam-activated carbon compound based on coal. Donau Carbon utilizes a specialty production process to modify the surface structure, allowing the carbon to act as a catalyst for various chemical reactions and enhancing its filtering capabilities. Due to its extremely high porosity and large internal surface area, it can absorb a wide variety of gaseous and liquid organic substances for the purification of gases and air. It is especially useful in the treatment of unwanted odors in sewage treatment plants, as well as removing hydrogen sulfide (H2S) and other sulfur-based compounds from water. It is available in solid-black-pellet form and has an apparent density of 500 kg/m³ and a CTC adsorption of greater than 6% by weight.
