RHOPLEX™ N-580 is an acrylic emulsion that is typically used as a pressure-sensitive adhesive or as an adhesive compounding base. It features high tack and moderate peel and shear strength. RHOPLEX™ N-580 provides excellent adhesion to a variety of substrates and is typically used to create permanent or semi-permanent adhesion. When used as a pressure-sensitive adhesive, RHOPLEX™ N-580 is usually coated onto polyolefin films to create protective masking tapes with clean removability. The adhesion of this adhesive to low–surface energy tape backings such as polyolefin is achieved through cross-linking.
