SYLOID® 244
SYLOID® 244 is a synthetic amorphous silica recommended for use as a multifunctional excipient and anti-caking agent for food and industrial applications. Its highly porous structure ensures efficient oil absorption, absorbing up to two and a half times its weight.
SYLOID® 244 is a multifunctional silica material from GRACE formulated to enhance product effectiveness, dissolution, stability, manufacturing efficiency, and more in pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, and industrial applications. It contains a unique chemically prepared amorphous silicon dioxide free-flowing powder with excellent properties, such as anti-caking, moisture protection, and electrostatic reduction. With a highly defined internal porosity that can be modified, SYLOID® 244 provides extraordinary adsorption, particle size distribution, porosity, density, and internal surface area to improve functionality and efficacy, in addition to minimizing the number of excipients needed. SYLOID® 244 has a strong affinity for moisture and organic-based liquid, providing enhanced absorbing properties, allowing the absorption of up to two and a half times its weight in liquid.
