Thetawet™ FS-8200 is a 100% actives anionic fluorosurfactant that provides excellent wetting and leveling for coatings, inks, and adhesives to difficult-to-wet surfaces, such as metal, glass, plastic, oily substrates, waxy surfaces, and fluoropolymer-treated surfaces.
Thetawet™ FS-8200 is a solvent-free surfactant based on short-chain fluorosurfactant technology from ICT Chemicals. A 100% active solids product, it is engineered to deliver performance on par with standard long-chain alternatives. Thetawet™ FS-8200 is insoluble in water, making it suitable for use in water-sensitive systems and 100% solids and high-solids applications. It provides exceptional wetting and leveling benefits to a range of substrates, including glass, plastics, metals, oily substrates, and waxy surfaces. Thetawet™ FS-8200 contributes a range of other benefits to formulations, including block resistance, reduced foaming properties, and enhanced gloss development. It helps form a tough, durable film resistant to harsh operational and environmental conditions, protecting surfaces from abrasions, soiling, and weathering. It also withstands UV degradation when used in interior and exterior coating applications.
In coatings, its powerful leveling performance allows for a smoother, defect-free surface devoid of craters, fish eyes, orange peels, and pin holes. Thetawet™ FS-8200 can also be used in floor finishes, sealers, lacquers, polishes, automotive finishes and top coats, and industrial and architectural paints and coatings. Thetawet™ FS-8200 can be used effectively at low end-use concentrations relative to other hydrocarbon surfactants, allowing for lower surfactant consumption for more cost-effectiveness.
