METHOCEL™ A15C Premium is a high-purity polymer used as a thickener for coatings, inks, and adhesives. It yields a viscosity of around 1,500 cPs at 2% in water.
METHOCEL™ A15C Premium is a methylcellulose rheology modifier used to precisely control viscosity of water-based formulations. It forms a solution of approximately 1,500 cPs at 2% in water. Its designation as a premium grade indicates that it contains fewer impurities than the standard METHOCEL™ A15C grade. Therefore, it is used in applications that require a high degree of performance and viscosity control with minimal impact to the overall formulation quality. Typical applications include use as a thickener for coatings, inks, and adhesives. METHOCEL™ A15C Premium is pseudoplastic in nature and, therefore, may also be extruded. It is lubricious and will reversibly gel above 55°C. These properties make it an ideal ingredient to use as an extrusion aid and a green-strength-enhancing binder in technical ceramics. METHOCEL™ polymers have outstanding pH stability and help improve shelf life in formulations.
