KATHON™ CG II is a broad-spectrum preservative recommended for salt-sensitive rinse-off formulations such as those containing carbopol thickeners and silicones.
INCI Methylchloroisothiazolinone (CMIT) and Methylisothiazolinone (MIT)
KATHON™ CG II is designed to protect against microbial contamination to ensure product performance. It exhibits excellent antimicrobial activity against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, molds, and yeasts. KATHON™ CG II has an established history of successful use as a preservative in a wide range of rinse-off personal care products.

Appearance: Clear Liquid Color: Apha ≤ 100 Specific gravity: 1.21 g/cm³ (25° C) pH: 1.7 - 3.7 (as manufactured) Stability: Stable at least 1 year at ambient temperatures and at least 6 months at 50°C Recommended use level: 0.06% to 0.10%, as supplied (dosage levels should be verified with testing due to the variation in personal care formulations and their susceptibility to microbial contamination)
