Para-Nonylphenol produces phenolic resins by chemical reaction with aldehydes. If used with other phenols, 4-Nonlyphenol may create a more beneficial phenolic resin with characteristics such as solubility inside the oil and improved dielectric and hydrophobic properties.Â
