Product Overview

The SI Group's POLYBOND™ 3000 is a compatibilizer for filled polypropylene systems and polymer blends of polypropylene and polyamide. POLYBOND™ 3000 improves overall physical properties, strength, and hydrolytic stability. It is ideal as a tie-layer component to allow better compatibility between multilayer polar and non-polar polymer materials.

POLYBOND™ 3000 boosts the overall mechanical performance of filled compounds by strengthening compatibility between filler and polymer. The bonding and polymerization process increases impact strength, toughness, flexural strength, heat deflection temperature, filler dispersion, tensile strength, and adhesion. POLYBOND™ 3000 coupling agent additives are compatible with polypropylene reinforced with glass fiber, cellulose fiber, wood fiber, and mineral filler, providing enhanced physical and thermal properties.
