Overview
PMC Biogenix Lubrazinc® W Powder is a zinc-salt-distilled oleochemical from hydrogenated fatty acids. Lubrazinc® W Powder is also known as a zinc stearate and offers insolubility in polar solvents. This zinc stearate powder grade can be an internal lubricant and impart mold release properties for plastic and elastomer formulations. This zinc stearate grade also acts as a polymer processing aid for various resins and an acid scavenger in polyolefin processing.
PMC Biogenix Lubrazinc® W Powder grade also functions as a powdered metal lubricant as this zinc stearate grade has hydrophobic properties. Zinc stearate can lubricate entire metal surfaces due to its high heat stability, allowing for easier metal mold releases. Lubrazinc® W Powder assists paints, lacquers, and industrial coatings with improved dispersion stability and pigment suspension.
