PMC Biogenix Sodium Stearate C-1 is a sodium salt of distilled hydrogenated fatty acids designed for use in cosmetics, personal care, and plastic formulations.
PMC Biogenix Sodium Stearate C-1 is the sodium salt from stearic acid and can be used for wetting, thickening, emulsifying, and opacifying creams, lotions, and shampoos. Sodium Stearate C-1 is a sodium salt of distilled hydrogenated fatty acids available in powder form. Sodium Stearate C-1 offers high solubility for hot polar solvents for rigid and semirigid gel formulations. Sodium Stearate C-1, also known as sodium metal salt or soap, provides lubricity and thickening properties as a gelling agent for deodorant gel stick formulas. Sodium Stearate C-1 comprises hydrophilic and hydrophobic characteristics for skin and personal care applications.
Furthermore, Sodium Stearate C-1 offers water-soluble benefits for skin and personal care products. Sodium Stearate C-1 is entirely soluble in hot mineral oil and wax. After cooling, it will form a gel state. Sodium Stearate C-1 is somewhat soluble in water, methanol, ethanol, and esters on ketones and vegetable oils. It is insoluble in benzene, toluene, and xylene.
