LOCTITE 222® is a low-strength, low-viscosity anaerobic threadlocker designed for small fasteners up to 6.35 mm. It cures between close-fitting metal surfaces in the absence of air, providing secure locking with easy disassembly using standard hand tools while offering resistance to shock and vibration .
Colour: Purple and the product has positive UV fluorescence
Viscosity is 900–1 500 mPa·s at 20 rpm, and ≥ 3 500 mPa·s at 2.5 rpm
Breakaway torque on M10 steel bolts is 6 Nm with prevail torque near 4 Nm
Fixture time is approx. 20–25 minutes on steel; full cure requires 24 hours
Service temperature range extends from –55 °C to +150 °C
Specific gravity is approx. 1.05
It is compatible with steel, stainless steel and brass fasteners, with packaging in 10 ml and 50 ml bottles
