LOCTITE® 259
Loctite® 259 is a low-strength, low-viscosity, anaerobic threadlocker designed for the locking and sealing of threaded fasteners that require easy disassembly with standard hand tools. It cures in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces, preventing loosening and leakage from shock and vibration.
Loctite® 259 is a one-component, anaerobic adhesive formulated for the locking and sealing of threaded fasteners. Its low viscosity ensures easy application and penetration into threads. The product cures in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces, forming a durable bond that resists loosening due to shock and vibration. Loctite® 259 is particularly effective on less active substrates such as stainless steel and plated surfaces and can cure through light coatings of industrial oils and cutting fluids without the need for prior cleaning. The adhesive exhibits temperature resistance up to 150°C, ensuring long-term reliability in demanding environments.
