LOCTITE® 277
Loctite® 277 is a high-strength, high-viscosity threadlocker designed for the permanent locking and sealing of large threaded fasteners. It cures anaerobically between close-fitting metal surfaces, providing robust resistance to vibration, shock, and thermal cycling. The adhesive is suitable for applications requiring high torque strength and can be disassembled by heating parts to 300°C.
Loctite® 277 is a one-component, anaerobic adhesive formulated for the permanent locking and sealing of large threaded fasteners. Its high viscosity ensures easy application without migration, making it suitable for vertical or overhead assemblies. The product cures in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces, forming a durable bond that resists loosening due to vibration and thermal expansion. Loctite® 277 is particularly effective on less active substrates such as stainless steel and plated surfaces, and it can cure through light coatings of industrial oils and cutting fluids without the need for prior cleaning. The adhesive exhibits high-temperature resistance up to 150°C, ensuring long-term reliability in demanding environments.
