LOCTITE® 542 is a thread sealant designed for fine threads in hydraulic, pneumatic, and general fitting applications. It cures when confined in the absence of air between close fitting metal surfaces, creating a strong, inert seal that prevents loosening and leakage under vibration and pressure.
LOCTITE® 542 is formulated to provide instant low-pressure sealing while offering exceptional resistance to hydraulic fluids, oils, and most industrial chemicals. Its medium viscosity allows it to fill fine thread gaps without running, ensuring a uniform, reliable seal. Once cured, the product withstands high pressures and prevents loosening caused by vibration or thermal cycling. Designed for use on close-fitting threads, it enhances the integrity of hydraulic and pneumatic systems while reducing the risk of leaks and costly downtime.
