LOCTITE® 589
Loctite® 589 is a high-strength threadlocker designed to lock and seal fine-threaded fasteners. It cures in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces, providing reliable protection against loosening due to vibration and sealing against leaks and corrosion.
Loctite® 589 is a one-component, low-viscosity threadlocker that offers high strength and excellent sealing capabilities. It is specifically formulated for securing fine-threaded nuts, bolts, and studs, and is also effective in sealing porosity in welds, castings, and powdered metal parts.
The product cures anaerobically, forming a durable bond that resists vibration-induced loosening and prevents leakage of fluids and gases. It is suitable for use on inactive metals such as stainless steel and plated surfaces when used with an appropriate activator.
