LOCTITE® SF 7458 is a premium dichloropyridine surface-activating liquid engineered to accelerate the curing speed of cyanoacrylate adhesives with pre- or post-application. It ensures an excellent aesthetic appearance of bond lines without discoloration or odor.
LOCTITE® SF 7458 is a colorless cyanoacrylate activator liquid formulated with a 1.1% to 1.9% amine-free dichloropyridine base and an n-heptane solvent. It can be applied before or after LOCTITE® instant adhesives, expediting their cure while providing application flexibility and aesthetic enhancement by minimizing post-cure discoloring. As a versatile surface activator, it is especially suited for applications where appearances are crucial, such as colored plastic part assemblies, jewelry, loudspeakers, and cosmetic packaging. LOCTITE® SF 7458 provides a good on-part life of less than 24 hours and a fixture time of 25 seconds.
