Overview
This spray-dried grade is dissolved in coconut oil and finely dispersed in a matrix of gum acacia, non-GMO maltodextrin, and sucrose. Antioxidants dl-α-tocopherol and sodium ascorbate are added to retain quality over shelf life. Beta-Carotene 1% SD is water dispersible and used as a light-yellow-to-orange coloring agent in many foods and beverages.

Applications
Beta-Carotene 1% SD is ideal for coloring water-based food and beverage applications, such as powdered drink mixes, smoothies, sports and energy drinks, baked goods, pasta, stick packs, dairy products, yogurts, frozen desserts, instant products, puddings, sorbets, and confectionery.
A stock solution can be prepared by slowly adding the desired quantity of powder to cold or warm water under continuous agitation.
