Chelating Agents

VERSENE™ from Dow immobilizes metal ions in water and water-soluble ingredients to prevent them degrading the food value and stability.  Use VERSENE™ to protect food products from rancidity and improve shelf life and color retention.

Calcium Disodium EDTA well suited for a wide variety of food applications.

TENOX™ from Eastman prevents oxidation to preserve freshness and keep off-flavor and off-aroma at bay.  It's highly effective in low concentrations for both highly unsaturated vegetable oils and edible animal fats.

Tertiary-butylhydroquinone (TBHQ) is Eastman's most effective antioxidant for highly unsaturated vegetable oils and many edible animal fats.  It has effective carry-through from frying oils and imparts excellent stability to finished foods.

Butylated Hydroxyanisole (BHA) has outstanding solubility in fats and oils, renowned effectiveness for carry-through in baked foods, and excellent stability in an array of food products, fats, oils, vitamins, and pet foods.

Butylated Hydroxytoluene (BHT) has excellent solubility in fats and oils, carry-through effectiveness in baked foods, and imparts stability in an array of fats, oils, and cereals.
