HiTEC® 2588 premium rust and oxidation (R&O) turbine additive package delivers enhanced oxidation, corrosion, and filter plugging protection.
HiTEC® 2588 ashless rust and oxidation (R&O) additive package is designed for high-performance hydraulic, turbine, circulating, and compressor oil formulations. The R&O additive extends the life cycle of circulating oil through superior oxidative protection, rust control, demulsibility, and filterability. It demonstrates compatibility with common additives used in hydraulic oil. It has also been specially engineered to resist filter plugging when the lubricant is contaminated by engine oil, hydraulic oil, or other common impurities.
When blended in suitable mineral oil at recommended treat rates, HiTEC® 2588 additive meets the following specifications:

Water ingress in circulating oil can accelerate oxidation and rust, forming sludge and varnish and damaging critical equipment. This can result in frequent oil changes and costly unplanned maintenance. Some additives used in R&O oil tend to clog filters, particularly when there is oil contamination. In addition, air can become entrapped in circulating systems, causing foam, which negatively impacts performance.
