HiTEC® 511T ashless anti-wear and extreme-pressure additive is used in various industrial oil, grease, and metalworking coolant formulations.
HiTEC® 511T ashless, zinc-free additive delivers superior extreme-pressure (EP) and anti-wear (AW) performance for a wide variety of lubricant applications. The chlorine-free dialkyldithiophosphate is soluble in a range of base stocks, including Group I, II, and III mineral oils and Group IV synthetic base oils. Because of its multifunctional properties and blending flexibility, the additive has wide application versatility and can be blended into gear oils, performance grease, metalworking fluids, and various industrial oils where anti-wear and extreme-pressure capabilities are required. In particular, HiTEC® 511T additive is ideally suited for improving anti-wear characteristics in turbine oil formulations.

Zinc-based additives pose environmental contamination risks if they accumulate in the soil or groundwater. However, some zinc-free alternatives cannot deliver the necessary anti-wear or stability performance. Sourcing various anti-wear and EP additives for different lubricant formulations can also be complex, costly, and inefficient.
