Overview
ADCOTE™ 40-3E is a modified polyester heat seal coating. It can be applied to untreated polyester and foil at a coating weight of 4.0-5.0 lbs per ream to form heat sealable coating. The coating can subsequently be sealed to containers made of CPET, APET, PVC and PVDC coated HIPS to form peelable seals with good resistance to oil and grease. The seals made from ADCOTE™ 40-3E are unique in that they remain peelable even after exposure to convection and microwave cooking cycles. It is this property that makes ADCOTE™ 40-3E an ideal heat seal coating for sealing retort and ovenable packaging.
