Capstone™ Repellents for Leather are partially fluorinated polymers specifically designed to protect leather and textiles. These repellents are used primarily in spray finishes and care products for leather to provide superior resistance to stains caused by water and oil.
Capstone® fluorosurfactants & fluororepellents were some of the first short-chain alternatives commercialized so Chemours has lots of experience helping their customers reformulate.
Capstone™ fluorosurfactants and repellents were introduced as sustainable replacements that meet the goals of the U.S. EPA 2010/15 PFOA Stewardship Program. They are based on short-chain molecules that cannot break down to PFOA or PFOS in the environment.
