TrusTec® Reference Fuel A is a test fluid composed of 99.75% isooctane and 0.10% n-heptane for ASTM D 471 rubber compatibility testing.
TrusTec® Reference Fuel A is a test fuel intended to be used to analyze vulcanized rubber's response to liquid exposure under ASTM D 471. TrusTec® Reference Fuel A is composed of 99.75% isooctane and 0.10% n-heptane by volume, and has a mild action on rubber vulcanizates. This imitates the actions of low-swelling, highly paraffinic gasolines, permitting manufacturers and laboratories to measure the swelling effects produced by commercial gasolines.
