Neusilin® is has been used in hundreds of pharmaceutical preparations for over 60 years. Neusilin® UFL2 is a well-accepted, multifunctional excipient with excellent adsorption capacity. It can maintain its powdery state while adsorbing up to 330% of its own weight, due to its extremely large specific surface area and porous reticulate structure.
In deodorants, Neusilin® UFL2 can both neutralize and absorb odors. For cosmetics and skin care products, it provides great absorption of sebum, oil, and water. It also aids in pigment dispersion and imparts anti-caking and opacifying benefits.

Neusilin® UFL2 can be used as an excipient in a variety of applications. It can be used as a diluent in solid dosage forms, and for tablets, it can bind, increase hardness, and aid in disintegration. It functions as a stabilizer in deliquescent drugs, and solidifies liquid APIs when its necessary to convert them from an oil to a powder, for example. Neusilin® UFL2 can also be used in suspensions. Due to its adsorption capacity, it is ideal for oily skin and acne treatment products, deodorant, lotion, pressed powders, and cleansers.
