Thetawet™ FS-8100 is a 100% actives fluorosurfactant ideal for improving wetting and leveling in water-based, solvent-based, and 100% solids formulations. It is designed for applications requiring exceptional wetting and leveling capabilities on low–surface energy surfaces.
Thetawet™ FS-8100 is a 100% actives nonionic fluorosurfactant that provides superior wetting, leveling, and surface tension reduction capabilities to as low as 18 dynes/cm. It is recommended for use as an additive for formulations applied to difficult-to-wet, low-energy substrates, such as metal, glass, plastic, oily substrates, waxy surfaces, and fluoropolymer-treated surfaces. Containing 100% solids, this surfactant is ideal for water-sensitive systems. It provides good performance at low end-use concentrations and delivers performance comparable to long-chain fluorochemical alternatives. It is ideal for use in coatings, inks, adhesives, floor finishes, sealers, and paint formulations, and performs well in harsh chemical and thermal conditions. Thetawet™ FS-8100 is compatible with all surfactant types and maintains stability across extreme pH conditions and in the presence of concentrated acids, bases, oxidizing solutions, and hard or soft water.
